The Forggensee without water, because of dam repair. The lake is purged each year, but actually (2018/2019) it is empty for much longer time for repair.

Photography Tips

Schloss Neuschwanstein and surrounding mountains are directly south of it, but best light is at sunset or sunrise in summer where you can place the peninsula on the right in the foreground.

Travel Information

Parking around the lake is no problem. There is a little walk of approx. 10 minutes in any way.
