Germany Castle Moritzburg

Schloss Moritzburg, or Moritzburg Castle, is a Baroque palace located near the town of Moritzburg, approximately 13 kilometres northwest of Dresden, in the German state of Saxony. The castle is known for its picturesque setting on an artificial island in the middle of a lake and its impressive Baroque architecture. Moritzburg Castle is situated on a small island in the middle of the Moritzburg Lake, giving it a fairy-tale-like appearance. The castle is surrounded by extensive parkland and forests, creating a scenic and tranquil setting. During the Advent season, Schloss Moritzburg hosts a popular Christmas market. The castle and its surroundings are beautifully illuminated, creating a festive atmosphere. Visitors can explore stalls offering crafts, food, and holiday decorations.
