Germany Hannibal‘s grave, Lüneburg Heath
In late 19th century German painter Eugen Bracht came back from a trip to Turkey with a painting showing Hannibal‘s grave. It wasn‘t long until some people realized that the background in the painting looked strikingly similar to this rock formation near Wilsede. There were rumours that Brecht had never even been in Turkey and this amazing spot got it‘s name.
