Germany Castle Neuschwanstein, Bavaria
World famous Castle Neuschwanstein.
Photography Tips
If you want to takes pictures from the location I was in, be there around 4 p.m. on a sunny day! The castle will be illuminated by the sun (My picture was taken in December at ~ 3 p.m. when the sun does not rise as much as in summer). Take a carefull look to location I took the shot. As you can see, you have to CROSS THE BRIDGE. Once you have crossed the bridge, "climb" uphill, this is not difficult and will take around 3-5 Min. Close to the rim you`ll find the spot. If you stay on the bridge you`ll have to share the place with masses of tourists!
Jimmy Kohar's note: Look at the picture under my name. There are actually 3 spots to shot from here, with another spots 'hidden' just next and above the public viewing fence and require you to climb (carefully) up the rocks and along the tree roots of which in my picture here I used as a frame for the castle. This is the 2nd spot, just between spot 1 and 3. Climbing up further over the tree roots (it's a very short climb just 5 meters away), you will find a small clearing (3rd spot) which probably will only fit around 3 tripods. There is no security fence here and falling down means death so please be careful.

Travel Information
The walk to the castle can get exhausting and depending on your condition it`ll take 20-45 Min.
Or, if you're arriving in the afternoon/during tourist hours, be smarter and get onto one of the small shuttles in front of the Apollo Duty Free shop. It costs around 3EUR but worth it unless you want to climb up for 30 minutes, which I did, twice! Not fun. However, if you're staying out for sunset, then you will have a long way walk in the dark to your hotel as the village is already empty of transport (and people) - or - call your hotel receptionist to send you a taxi to a restaurant/giftshop (Schlossrestaurant Neuschwanstein). It's a 12 minutes drive for about 15 EUR drive back to Fussen. Or at least an hour walk ;)
