Germany Castle ruin Wachtenburg
The 600 year old castle ruin is the highlight of the littel Palatine village Wachenheim.
Photography Tips
It is illumiated throughout the year, however, there are certain times when it's best for taking long-exposure pictures: before Christmas when a large Christmas tree is set up on top of the tower; in spring time when the castle is illumiated in red during almond blossoming; at the last weekend of August when the "Burgfest" is taking place and the illumination is extended as can be seen on the picture.
