Germany Monastery mill Hohenholte
The monastery mill in Hohenholte is one of the oldest mills in Münsterland. It dates back to the year 1225.
In 1811, the mill briefly became state property when the Hohenholte convent was dissolved and later became the property of the Brockhoff family of millers.
The mill building was partially demolished in 1925 and rebuilt in a different form. In 1938, the damming rights were abolished.
In the spring and summer of 1992, the convent mill was restored and a new undershot mill wheel was installed.
