Germany View down to Leutesdorf from castle ruin of Hammerstein
The castle ruin of Hammerstein is one of the oldest castles near the Rhine and the oldest one in this area. You can walk to the ruins and have an amazing view down to the village of Leutesdorf and the Rhine. This is also part of the hiking path called Rheinsteig from Rheinbrohl to Leutesdorf, a beautiful but difficult path along the Rhine.
Photography Tips
Probably the best timing to be here is during sunrise, especially during autumn until spring because there is a good chance that there are many cars on the road when the sun is rising for a great long exposure. If you want to do that, you should scout that spot during the day, because it's not that easy to get there in the dark.
Travel Information
The next parking place I know is down in Hammerstein, because I walked up there from this village and it didn't look like it's possible to get up there by car.
