Fishing village Prerow is situated in the north of the peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst. It is surrounded by the pristine Darßwald, a part of the national park Vorpommersche-Boddenlandschaft,
A 5 km long fine sandy and stoneless beach in the Prerow Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. In places it is up to 90 m wide.
