The spot is about a look out point from where you can overview the Saale valley south of Saalfeld.
Secondly there is a natural bridge called "Teufelsbruecke" - a former cave of which parts collapsed forming the natural bridge.

Parking is available at Obernitz or on "Roter Berg", very close by, but walking there from the Saale will give good views and photo options
