Michelstadt's half-timbered town hall of 1484 is located in the old town district on a hill close to the town church (1490).

The facade is visible only from below because the building is on elevated ground compared to the rest of the market square. Use a shift lens.

Come slightly after noon in summertime lest the basement timbers sink into shadows cast by neighbouring buildings.

Travel Information

Free parking is available on the Bienenmarktgelände, a parking between the train station and the old town. Don't forget to also visit the city's other highlights.
