Taken from the look-out in front of the Wilhelmsburg. It is a nice point of view from where almost the whole city can be seen.
Under the right weather conditions one can even see the Alps.

Photography Tips

Note that the Ulm Minster is partially behind some trees, so if you want to have it visible on your photo it is best to take the shot during winter.
Also the look-out is closed on December, 31st.

Very nice spot but unfortunately the Ulm Minster is covered by a tree.

Good point, that's true. Is it possible to get a little bit to the right up there?

The Minster being partly covered by trees was the fist thing I noticed up there. Unfortunately the lookout is only about 3 meters in diameter. I was as far on the right as you can get when using a tripod. The only way you could get more to the right is using a monopod and putting your camera over the edge of the look-out. If you don't go for a long exposure as I did, then you might catch a little bit more of the Minster. There is a second possible spot about 50 meters to the right on the roof of the Wilhelmsbug, but it is not open to public.

But that's also a good reason to be there during the winter, because in summer you wouldn't see anything of the Minister, would you? Are you adding this to the spot details or should I? Because that's a very good point, thanks so much dweihgold & Luis!

Added it to the tips. In Summer you might see the tip of the Minster a little bit (I will check this in a few months), but most of it is definitely covered by foliage.

Thank you very much! :) Hope I am getting there soon, but already on my travel list for this or next year.
