Germany Germany's longest suspension bridge Geierlay
A great location in the Hunsrück is the hanging rope bridge in the Hunsrück. In spring and autumn, you often have a foggy atmosphere, as seen here in the photos.
Photography Tips
Be there before dawn to capture fog and a great lighting atmosphere. Carrying a tripod is necessary depending on that. There are many ways to interpret the hanging rope bridge photographically. I photographed you with a full frame fisheye ;) Better go there during the week, otherwise, you will have to share the motif with many other photographers and curious people.
Travel Information
The parking lot is marked. The walk from the parking lot to the other side of the bridge takes about 30 minutes. You should also be free from giddiness, or just don't look 100 meters into the depth when you cross the bridge.
