Germany Bergaicht Waterfall, Tannheimer Tal
The Bergaicht waterfall falls around 400 meters into the valley. Especially during the snow melting season it is an impressive location! The waterfall is located at the end of the Vilsalp lake valley which is a pure gem for itself. A paradise for photographers. There goes a small track to the waterfall and you can see it already from far away. Easy to reach, impossible opportunities due to the many small cascades in front of it. During summer, the sun shines nearly parallel to the cliff, which creates different lighting contitions every minute.
Photography Tips
You need to hike a few kilometers, but be sure to bring your tripod. The waterfall is located to the south, so you will get challenging lighting contitions during midday. This location should be impressive in the morning too!
For shooting the large waterfall you only need 0.5sec for a good smoothing. ND filters still might be needed.

Travel Information
Parking is available at the Vilsalpsee, but it is only accessible before 10am and past 5pm. The road is closed during the day. So be sure to come early and enjoy an amazing sunrise at the lake and then hike to the waterfall. The way is pretty easy, but for the last part you should have hiking shoes. If you are lucky, you will find some snow to cool your drinks!
