Germany Lookout Tower at Wildlife Park Rolandseck

The Wildlife Park Rolandseck is a really nice park that you can visit with the entire family or with friends. Feeding the animals with food that you can buy for a very cheap price at the entrance is a funny experience for sure with goats being quite pushy. And if you ever wanted to pet a deer, then this is for you. Walking the entire circular path takes around 1 to 2 hours and is definitely worth it if you enjoy a nice walk through the forests.

Besides that, the park offers some great views over the Rhine, marking it a great place not only for wildlife photographers with animals coming really close to you but also for landscape photographers who will like the wide fields and the view from the lookout tower, which is close to the entrance. In the back, you can even see the famous Drachenburg Castle in Königswinter.

Use the bright paths as an element in your composition and if you are going up the lookout tower, the highest viewpoint might not even be the best one for photos because it reveals a lot of buildings nearby, adding too many details to your photo.
Autumn might be a great choice for a visit when the many trees are a colorful element in your photo.

There are 3 big parking spaces nearby that are very easy to reach by car. Parking number 3 is the lowest and the one that you have the walk the most up the hill. The Wildlife Park Rolandseck is also not that far away from the ferry, so you could also come by foot from Bad Honnef.

The entrance fee is around 4.50€ for adults, younger children are free. Check their website for opening hours and pricing because they usually open quite late and close early.
