Germany Wietingsmoor (northern part part) | The cranes are back!
Raised bogs like the Wietingsmoor have a charm all their own. They offer a unique flora and fauna. And - there are only a few and hardly any intact raised bogs left. So please leave nothing but your footprints. During autumn and winter, the cranes use the Wietingsmoor with its wide wetland areas as a resting place on their migration south - or even directly for wintering.
Photography Tips
Bring a good telephoto lens and be there around 6:00 pm when the birds settle down for the night's rest.
