Germany Jesuitenmandel
The Jesuitenmandel is an old solitary almond tree at an intersection of small agricultural roads. The tree - literally "Jesuites' almond" - got its name by the surrounding vineyard, the Jesuitengarten ("Jesuites' garden").
Photography Tips
The almond tree blossoms in mid- to late march, unfortunately not for a long time. The sign at the tree trunk cannot be removed. If you want you could also get the Wachtenburg castle ruins at Wachenheim into the frame. It is lit in the night at least until 23:00, so be careful for background light if you come after sunset.
When you set up your camera close to the wall at the western side of the cobblestone path leading up to the tree, you can get strong leading lines pointing to the tree.

Travel Information
No train station, better come by car. There's free parking at the northern entrance of the Forst hamlet. In case of a local festival you may find the parking overcrowded.
