The Kö-Bogen is a building complex and open space structure for urban renewal in the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital of Düsseldorf. The urban development project was named after the quadrant arc that the Hofgartenstrasse, which once ran along the edge of the Hofgarten and the pond on the Landskrone, described in the direction of Königsallee, the Kö.

The project, initiated in 2005, envisaged comprehensive construction measures and was divided into various construction sections and construction phases. In the first phase of construction, Jan-Wellem-Platz, which was no longer needed as a tram junction after the completion of the Wehrhahn line, was developed with a building complex consisting of retail, office and gastronomy uses according to designs by the New York architect Daniel Libeskind. In addition, the Hofgartenstrasse was largely replaced by a tunnel. In the second phase of construction, the high road Millipedes was demolished and also replaced by a tunnel.

Furthermore, the development in the area should be partially replaced by new buildings and the urban structure should be reorganized. This particularly affected the area south of the theater from Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz to Schadowstrasse. According to initial planning, four new building complexes were to be erected here. Subsequent plans combined their building plots 1-3 and 4 into the so-called "Ingenhoven Valley", an ensemble of retail, office and gastronomic uses. A pedestrian promenade was to be created along the former course of the centipede.

The entire project was controversial and triggered a controversial discussion in Düsseldorf, which culminated in a citizens' initiative against the sale of Jan-Wellem-Platz, which failed because of the necessary quorum. On August 17, 2009, the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was held.

The first phase of construction was largely completed with the completion of the two Libeskind buildings at the end of 2013. The second phase of construction took place in connection with the construction of the Wehrhahn line until 2016. After that, as a further phase, the extensive work for the new structuring of the area between the theater and Schadowstrasse had to be carried out, which is known as Kö-Bogen II and was completed at the beginning of 2017 started.
