Germany Herz Jesu Church with Organ, Munich
The Catholic parish church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Munich-Neuhausen (Lachnerstraße 8) was built between 1997 and 2000 according to plans by the Munich architects Allmann Sattler Wappner. The modern building soon became one of the most visited churches in Munich.
Friedrich Cardinal Wetter consecrated it on November 26, 2000, like the previous church, to the heart of Jesus; the blessing of the organ and the wall painting took place in October 2004.
The organ comes from the workshop of the Marburg organ builder Gerald Woehl.
