The 266 meters high telecommunications tower (also called "Colonius") in Cologne can pretty much seen in the whole city. It's the highest tower in this region in North Rhine-Westphalia. Unfortunately you can't enter this building anymore.
I took this photo in the green belt (ger. "Grüngürtel") of the city, where you have a mostly uncovered view towards the tower.

Travel Information

You can get there by train or by car. The best place to leave your car is marked on the map. That's a place where I nearly always leave my car, because parking in Cologne is just horrible and before searching hours for a parking place I just leave it there and walk a few minutes to the center of the city.
