Germany Die Milchstraße von der Wolfswarte aus
This point is located in the Harz natural park and has almost no light pollution which makes it quite attractive for capturing the Milky Way.
Photography Tips
Photographing the milky way with an adequate quality involves a lot of planning and a special technique, I think that everyone defines his technique according to his experience, but it is very important to have at least a good planning tool like Photopills, a tripod and a lens with a large aperture. In my case I used the Sigma 85mm f1.4. This photograph has been created with two main shots, the lower one with the forest and the low fog and the upper one with the milky way that I built with 30 shots of 30 seconds each. Noise reduction and merge was done with Sequator and processing with StarNet++ and Photoshop.
Travel Information
It is not so easy to get to this point by public transportation, especially at night, so I used private transportation and parked at the Wolfwarte parking lot one kilometer from this point.
