Germany Rosinenbomber
At the old airport of Berlin Tempelhof you have the chance so see an old aircraft which was been used while the "Luftbrücke".
The Berlin Luftbrücke was supplying the city of Berlin by aircraft of the Western Allies. The road and rail links from the Western zones to West Berlin were blocked during the Berlin Blockade from June 24, 1948 to May 12 in 1949 by the Soviet occupying power. Even after the end of the blockade, the supply flights initially continued. On August 27, 1949, the airlift was officially ended.
