The EXPOWAL built in the shape of a whale is the official landmark of EXPO 2000 in Hannover. It is surrounded by water on half sides.

Photography Tips

On Wednesdays there are events from 6:00 Pm so that the building is lit from the inside from mid-October to mid-March. Since the lake is surrounded by a fence, it is a bit difficult to take photos from this perspective. You can slide a smaller DSLR underneath the fence on a tripod. I had my tripod leaning against the fence.
