Germany Castle Ruin Altbodman

From afar you can see the Alt-Bodman ruins high up in the forests of the Bodanrück, which lie majestically above the lake. From here you have a fantastic view of the entire Überlinger See.

After the castle on the Frauenberg burned down after a thunderstorm, the Lords of Bodman built another castle on the neighboring mountain. All that remains of the former castle today is the ruins, because towards the end of the 30 Years' War the castle was destroyed and not rebuilt.
The viewing platform, which was later added, offers a breathtaking view of the sparkling lake, the mountain panorama, and the Frauenberg.
