Germany Spitzstein, Chiemgauer Alps
The Spitzstein with its really small chapel is a very easy hike that is perfect for a sunrise in summer. Great view of the mountain panorama.
Photography Tips
Use the first light to create shots like those with a headlamp, which have even more storytelling. Make sure that the person is only posed in order to take a short, longer exposure from the hand.
Travel Information
The classic route starts in Sachrang and leads via Mitterleiten and later along the state border via the Spitzsteinhaus to the summit. The Spitzstein hike is 10 km long and takes around 4.5 hours. Tip: In summer, you can use the Goglalm parking lot. This shortens the ascent considerably. Then you need just under an hour for the ascent with 500 meters in altitude and 2.7 kilometers.
