Rather than carrying a tripod, consider using superclamps to secure your camera to the robust fence (if you want to capture timelapses/low-light). Additionally, the nearby Bastei Berghotel offers excellent accommodation options for those keen on capturing stunning sunsets or sunrises while resting nearby.

There's a convenient paid parking nearby (just a 10-minute easy walk away), with several EV charging stations available. However, the parking tends to fill up completely during the day due to the large influx of tourists. Watch out for the tempting inexpensive parking spots along the road leading to this location, which are still several kilometers away. You simply waste a lot of time and energy (it's an uphill road) parking at these, drive as far as possible to locate the ultimate parking spot.
