Germany Rheingrafenstein (Turner) View
In an area with (by German standards) surprising geological features this is my favourite spot. If the spot on the small barrier (marked spot) is too overgrown with bushes you can always find other angles along the street towards the south.
Also the famus british painter Turner had a spot a bit north of my marked spot for one of his paintings (marked in Google Maps as "Turner Viev").
This spot is remarkable any time of the year but most impressive in winter or spring when vegetation is fewer.

Photography Tips
early morning or evening recommended for best light and avoiding the few tourists. There's some wonderful red sunlight on the huge rock spikes in the evening. Tripod (and maybe ND filter) for long exposure and wideangle (<35mm) recommended.
Travel Information
Parking is available in the street itself or at the southern end of this road. Also some paid parkingspaces a few hundred meters away.
