Germany Castle Rammelsburg
Rammelburg Castle (also Rammelburg Castle or just Rammelburg) is located in the town named after it, Rammelburg, in the town of Mansfeld in Saxony-Anhalt. It was created through a castle-like renovation or expansion of an existing medieval castle. Belonging to the Thurn und Taxis family, it was expropriated by the Soviets in 1945.
It was then used for various purposes, most recently as a rehabilitation center for young people with mental and physical disabilities.
The ownership structure is currently unclear, which is why it is empty. The need for renovation is estimated at around 50 million euros.
