The Belchen is one of the mountains that can offer a beautiful panorama as far as the Alps on its ascent, if the view is clear. The hut in front of it also offers a good opportunity to stop off during the hiking season. The opening hours should be checked on the local websites.

Photography Tips

Only with telephoto lenses is it possible to capture the Alpine panorama at this close range. Ideally, you should use manual focus to achieve maximum sharpness at the back of the mountains in the Alpine region.

Travel Information

From parking slot near Belchenhotel you need around 30 minutes until you reach the top of the mountain. During the season there is the opportunity to use the cable car. It´s not running at sunrise / sunset so make sure you are ready for some minutes of hiking.
