The foundation stone of today's Marktkirche was laid in 1682 by Prince-Bishop Ferdinand von Fürstenberg. The plans for the three-nave Baroque gallery basilica were drawn up by the Jesuit lay brother Anton Hülse. After only ten years of construction, it was consecrated as a Jesuit church on 14 September 1692. The church was already a university and grammar school church when it was founded

Photography Tips

As there is not too much light, a tripod and obviously wide angle lens are helpful. Try to get there on a sunny day
