Germany Schloss Dyck
Dyck Castle is a moated castle in Jüchen in the Rhineland. Fortifications were first documented in 1094. In 1383, the castle was besieged, and the lord was forced to destroy the stronghold. It was rebuilt 10 years later. The manor house at the center of the castle dates from 1636 to 1663. The castle was severely damaged during World War II and extensively restored in 1961. Today, it is one of the most important moated castles in the Rhineland.
