Germany Wise and Foolish Virgins
The Wise and Foolish Virgins are a group of sculptures on the Paradise portal of Magdeburg Cathedral, depicting the parable of the same name. They are dated to around the middle of the 13th century; the sculptor remains anonymous. The ten figures are made of sandstone and are almost life-size at a height of 120-130 cm.
