Germany Totenkirche
The former gothic protestant parish church, called “Totenkirche”, is a heritage building situated at the eastern edge of Abterode, a district of the small town of Meißner at Werra-Meißner-Kreis (Federal country of Hessen, Germany). This fortress-like ruin of a church is situated on a hill and was erected in the 14th century. It is a ruin since 1809.
Photography Tips
This ruin is located in the middle of nowhere. You should therefore also love to take photos of hilly sylvan regions to compensate the long drive. A good preparation is helpful as there are other spots of beautiful nature around.
