Simple but great spot and a classic in Bavaria. Great lines and often great moods (sunset, sunrise, fog, thunderstorm).

Photography Tips

During the winter there's a bit of fog (like in this photo), but if you get lucky on some days you might see the Alps far in the background. Bring a tripod and ND if you like, and a polarizer if you want to expose the submerged pebbles.
During winter there's nobody, but during summer it's a popular destination in Germany so might get crowded.
There should be more nice spots in the area, explore around the lake (on the southern part of it the river pours into it so it might be an interesting location as well).
The spot is suitable for long exposures. Take the tripod and the ND filters with you. Don't forget the wide-angle lens.

On the left side, you also have some stones for the foreground.

Thanks a lot for the upload, Dominik! on google maps there are two stilt houses parallel to each other, are they the same?

Thanks Alona. On the right side in the map (where the marker is) is the smaller one. On the left side is the larger hut, from which you can also find pictures on location scout. :) But they are so close together. When you are there, you will see both.
