Germany Schlossturm, Düsseldorf
The Düsseldorf Castle Tower is the landmark of the old town. The Schlossturm used to belong to a castle. In 1521, the first castle was built. In the last centuries, there were repeated fires and renovations of the castle, in 1872 a final fire led to its destruction and only the castle tower remained. Today, the castle tower houses the Maritime Museum.
