Germany Wernigerode Castle
From the Agnesberg you have a beautiful view of the castle and the town of Wernigerode.
Photography Tips
The best time is, of course, sunset. If the weather is good, you can even see the Brocken. Here, too, it doesn't matter what time of year it is - what matters is light.
Travel Information
Here you have to walk. You can park at the Marstall and walk the rest of the way. First in the direction of the castle and then later up into the forest. Don't worry, it is signposted. After the effort, a bench awaits you at the top to rest and enjoy the view. There is also a stamping point here (Harzer Wandernadel).
Another path, which I think is not as arduous as the one through the forest: Park near the castle, walk up to the castle (really into the inner area, i.e. around the castle building), behind the building of the restaurant "der Büchsenmacher" (beer garden) there are stairs leading down. At some point, you will cross a footpath, which you simply continue to cross straight ahead. You zigzag a little up the hill and after a short while you reach the spot mentioned above.
