Germany Sieglarer See, Bonn
Lake Sieglar is an excavation lake which owes its origin to the construction of the surrounding highways. Large quantities of sand and gravel were needed. Via a channel on the River Sieg side, the lake is associated with the river at higher water levels. On the two islands, nests of grey herons and cormorants are built in the trees.
