The Kasbachtalbahn is a non-electrified, single-track line, linking Linz (Rhine) with Flammersfeld. The 8.9 km long portion between Linz am Rhein and Kalenborn is one of the steepest train tracks in Germany. The largest slope is 5.7%. The trains are run by Eifel rail mbH, providing weekend train trips from March to December and on Wednesdays between May and October in hourly action.
