Germany Fürstenzug, Dresden
The city of Dresden has plenty of beautiful spots that are worth visiting (and worth taking photos of); it is my favourite city in Germany. Fürstenzug – the Procession of Princes – is a long wall decorated with tiles of Meissen porcelain. It displays portraits of the dukes of the House of Wettin over 800 years.
Photography Tips
The mural is on a wall on the southern side of a narrow alley running east to west. This means the wall sees direct sunlight only for a few minutes every day. Try to get there early morning before the streets get crowded. (Especially in the summer)
Travel Information
It's best to not take a car into the city. Public transport is great – the tram system in particular – and a day (or multi-day) pass is well worth the money. The closest tram stations are Altmarkt and Theaterplatz.
