Germany View of the Moselle loop near Bremm
A beautiful view over the Moselle loop from the steepest vineyard in Europe, the Calmont near the village of Bremm. From the marked car park, first, go to the Bremm summit cross. From there, take another narrow, quite steep path down to the marked spot. Especially during Autumn with all the colourful Vineyards.
Photography Tips
Be sure to bring a super wide-angle lens. Depending on the time of day, a tripod also makes sense. I used a full-frame fisheye here (12mm Samyang) so that I could also include some of the foreground. If you want to be at the location before sunrise, you should take a torch or headlamp with you so that you don't stray from the path.
Travel Information
There is a parking lot close by.
But I would recommend starting from the bottom and walking up. There is a little tavern on top of the hill where you can get some regional wine.
You can reach this spot from two sides.
1. The easy way is to drive up the hill to the "Parking Lot Calmont". It's a 15 / 20-minute walk to your destination.
2. You can start at the bottom and walk up. There is a path called "Calmont Klettersteig". Of course, it is more challenging but it is worth it.
