Beautiful old watermill at the river Wieste in Lower Saxony, Northern Germany. Build 1790, the wheel has been replaces 1987 with a steel wheel.
This place between the cities of Bremen and Rotenburg(Wuemme) is conveniently located next to a motorway departure, neverless it is a hidden gem.

Photography Tips

Make sure to bring your ND filter to slow down the shutter speed for silky smooth water. During sunset the light is really nice.

Travel Information

There is small parking next to the road. You have to walk along the left side of the main building and cross a small bridge. The mill will then be on your right side.
