The Haidplatz in Regensburg is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in our city. Here you will find many old merchant's buildings and also this patrician castle from 1250, which today houses the "Goldenes Kreuz", which has a long tradition. In addition to the architectural highlights, all of which invite you to take photographs, the Haidplatz with its numerous cafes and restaurants tempts you to stroll and enjoy. Especially in spring, when the first sunbeams invite the first outdoor seats for coffee, you get to know the way of life in Regensburg. We enjoy the first rays of sunshine and like to cuddle up in blankets, as long as we can sit outside. The old town is worthwhile from spring to late autumn, especially if the nights are long and tepid. For photo enthusiasts who also like to photograph foggy floodplains and river landscapes, Regensburg also offers spectacular pictures in the winter months.

As almost always, the morning and evening hours, i. e. around sunrise and sunset, are the most beautiful hours for photographers because of the light situation. On weekends there are a lot of tourists on the road. Who can better be on the road in the middle of the week. An ultra-wide-angle lens APS-C 10 to 20mm or full-frame 14 to 24mm makes photographing in the narrow Old Town much easier. Of course, you can also stitch with other focal lengths or take detailed pictures.

Parken ist selbst für Einheimische nicht einfach. Wenn du gerne etwas spazierengehst, parke am besten auf dem Dultplatz, nördlich der Donau und komme über den eisernen Steg nach Regensburg. Oder du lernst Stadtamhof, die Vorstadt kennen und betrittst Regensburg über die alte steinerne Brücke. Parkhäuser gibt es auch. Diese sind besonders an den Wochenenden schnell besetzt.
