Greece Night view on Astypalaia Island
Astypalaia is an amazing island in a butterfly shape on the Dodecanese Archipelago on the Aegean sea. The traditional white houses splashing at sunset into Chora (town) flanked by eight newly renovated traditional mills make it an amazing experience both for enjoyment and photography.
Photography Tips
A sturdy tripod is a must as mostly on the islands it can be a bit windy even in summer. The town is beautiful during day in summer but night photography is a complete new experience as the lights from the houses, the castle at the top of the hill and the windmills - all are beautifully contoured at night.
Travel Information
There is ample parking places everywhere but if one stays in Chora (Astypalaia town) one need not have a car, walking is the best way to get around.
