Pylie 1 (Pier 1) of Thessaloniki huge harbor has been revamped and offers now cinema, museums, eateries etc. This is the best spot to admire the entire shoreline of the city.

Photography Tips

Please note that from this spot you can photograph the sunrise and nightscapes. Sunset will occur behind you so you will have to be at the other end of the city, towards Kalamaria. Once you enter through the gate to Pier 1, try to secure a spot as early as you can. It can be very crowded. The crowd will not hamper the view or your photography as they will all line on the pier.
Tripod is necessary. My photo was shot with a 24-70mm lens.
