Greece Chorio Castle Viewpoint

A medieval castle ruins atop some mountain on Halki island. Commands a great view around.

Don't forget both regular zoom and a tele.

Unless you have your own yacht, you can get there from Rhodes island - either from Rhodes town port, or from Kamiros Skala port at western part of Rhodes, much closer to Halki.

From Kamiros Skala, several boats leave to Halki each day during season, but inquire for timetable in advance.

On Halki, either you get a "taxi" ride to the place, or walk by feet.

There is very few cars on Halki and they wait for boat with tourists to arrive. Once there, they will take willing tourists to some monastery on the western part of Halki - and you will not see these taxis anymore. The road to monastery goes past the castle, so it'll work, just catch a place in taxi quick.

If you are fit, you will make it to the castle, see around and take pictures and be back when your ship goes back to Rhodes. The road to the castle is a constant walk up the hill, first resonable (while along the road) and then steep stairs, as old as the castle itself.
