You have to hike a long steep way to go up to the base camp. It's an unforgettable experience to watch eruptions of Fuego.

Photography Tips

You need a long lens (70-200mm full frame eq.), in best case with a 2.8 aperture to photograph this erupting volcano. Also a 24mm (ff eq.) and a 85mm (ff eq.) with apertures starting at 1.4 are highly recommended!

For the panoram I used a 18mm (ff eq.) lens @f/2.5

Travel Information

The hike takes around 5 hours to the basecamp. So be prepared!
