Iceland Seljalandsfoss, Iceland
The specialty of this waterfall in the south of Iceland is the possibility of walking behind it (yes, you will get wet). The path is very easy to walk, just be prepared for the mist from the falls, and not only a jacket but something to cover your camera. Seljalandsfoss is a beautiful waterfall from any angle. Perfect for long-exposure photography.
Photography Tips
It's magical at sunset, when the sun is opposite to the waterfall. Use a tripod and a nd-filter to smooth the water by a long exposure. This gives your image that certain something.
Travel Information
The parking lot is nearby. The place is often overcrowded in the daytime because it's very easy to reach and not that far away from Reykjavik. Go there early in the morning or in the late afternoon or maybe even during the night in summer when the sunset is extremely late and you have a lot of time with the best possible light situation.
