Iceland Hengifoss
Hengifoss waterfall in Iceland is known for its red stripes.
Photography Tips
A drone is a good way to get a good picture of a higher perspective, but you can walk also very close. During moody days, colors turn out to be more intense.
Travel Information
You have to walk around 1 hour to get very close, but the best view you can reach is after around 30 minutes of walking up.
The walk to a close position is really nasty, since a rockfall has destroyed old paths. Be ready for some slippery climbing across muddy rocks. Don't continue if you don't feel comfortable!
The valley can become foggy in an instant and then all the wooden paths are also slippery. Don't trust hiking guides that promise 1 hour for up and down.
