Iceland Haifoss
Haifoss is a famous waterfall in the South or Midsouth of Iceland. You have to drive on a dirt road to get here. Parking is free and offers an amazing view of the waterfalls from the same level of altitude. It's much nicer if you walk down to the waterfalls to capture different perspectives here as well!
Photography Tips
I used my 70-200 tele lens to capture this surreal scenery. The clouds were rolling in pretty much covering the top of the waterfall which create this atmosphere of the waterfall dropping straight out of the clouds. You also want a wide-angle lens if you walk towards the waterfall!
Travel Information
You park your car after you survived the dirt road which is bumpy on some parts at the Haifoss parking spot. From here you follow the river's direction towards the valley. They have a marked trail you follow. At some point once you made it down a bit you notice a turn to your right (once there isn't a high cliff down into the valley anymore) turn right and follow the trail into the valley down towards the river level) It's quite steep, rocky, and slippery. Can be done by beginners and families with caution and enough time.
