This location can easily be missed when driving along the East Coast of Iceland but it is a must-stop! Have a break here and go down to the beach (a bit of easy climbing involved) but stay away from the shore since the waves can be dangerous.

I used my drone for this epic selfie to create a sense of scale in the scenery. It can be windy on this side of Iceland, so don't lose your drone and adjust the compass before starting to fly!

Travel Information

You can park your car at the marked parking lot. The road is in excellent condition and driveable for any vehicle. The entire drive along the East Coast is very scenic, and you can stop every few minutes to take photos.
