Iceland Granni waterfall

The Granni waterfall is less known than its famous neighbor. It drops into an impressive canyon where you can walk down. It's also lovely to enjoy the view from the top near the parking, which doesn't require hiking.

Photography Tips

I used my drone to get a slightly different angle of the waterfall. A bit below the height level, you can usually get to with your camera to get rid of the land above the waterfall. Be aware of birds flying around.

Travel Information

You have to rent a 4x4 car to get here. The road is bumpy and just a gravel road. Drive by larger cars without 4x4, but you end up having insurance problems if you visit with a no 4x4 vehicle. When traveling in Iceland, it is always nice to check www.safetravel.is for travel information.
